Book Club Read September: Let’s Get Textual by Teagan Hunter
New month, new romance!
For September, the HEA Book Club is switching things up with a fun, flirty romantic comedy built around one very simple question:
What happens when a wrong number turns out to be the right person?
Our September read is Let's Get Textual by Teagan Hunter, the first book in the Texting series.
About the Book
A wrong number is supposed to be easy.
You get a random text. You realise they've messaged the wrong person. You tell them. They apologise.
End of story.
Except that's not quite what happens when Zach Hastings accidentally texts the wrong number.
Instead of ending the conversation, Zach and Delia keep texting.
And texting.
And flirting.
Before long, this complete stranger has become the person she's thinking about first thing in the morning and last thing at night.
There's nerdy humour, ridiculous conversations, plenty of flirting and, somehow, even a baby goat gets involved.
What begins as a simple wrong-number mix-up starts looking suspiciously like the beginning of something neither of them expected.
Because Zach might have the wrong number… but maybe he's the right guy.
After spending August cruising along the Thames with Katie Fforde's Going Dutch, we're jumping into something completely different for September.
Let's Get Textual promises to be a light, modern rom-com filled with texting banter, chemistry and plenty of humour, exactly the kind of book that sounds like fun to discuss together.
There's also something incredibly cute about a romance developing through messages before the characters really know where it's going. You get to watch that friendship and attraction build one conversation at a time.
And, frankly, I was sold at baby goat.
Whether you've been reading along with us every month or you've never joined the HEA Book Club before, you're very welcome to jump in.
Grab yourself a copy of Let's Get Textual by Teagan Hunter, get reading, and let us know what you think as you go.
We'll be back at the end of September to wrap up the book and see whether Zach really was worth answering that wrong-number text for.
